How to Propose an Exhibition

ExhibitsUSA is always excited to learn of arts or humanities exhibitions that might appeal to other museums. If you have an exhibition or collection that you would like us to consider for touring, please send:

BulletA one- to two-page summary of the exhibition/collection

BulletA preliminary checklist and/or exhibit script (if available)

BulletA minimum of 15 slides or digital images on a CD and a slide/image list list If you send slides, please make sure that each slide is labeled with the artist/makers's name, title, date, dimensions, and medium. Please indicate the top of the slide.

BulletThe curriculum vitae of the curator and of other significant contributors

BulletAny supplementary material concerning the exhibition/collection, including catalogs, press coverage, etc.

Proposals must be submitted through a museum or museum affiliation, independent curator, or community cultural organization. EUSA policy prohibits us from accepting proposals directly from the artist(s) represented in an exhibition or from the collectors of the objects. If your proposal is selected for further consideration, you will be asked to provide more detailed information for a presentation to our Advisory Panel.
